Elder attorneys, please take a moment to reach out to your clients who might be susceptible to the Grandparent Scam , and to their banks if you can. The scumbags prey on older folks who may not recognize the voices of their grandchildren on the phone. Very clever, these guys have thought through all the countermeasures so it would be very difficult to catch one in the act, unless awareness is raised and potential victims can be brought into a sting.
Hopefully enough elders will become aware of this, we can put the bad guys out of business, or at least this particular bad business.
